Garry Osan is a ceramic artist working from his studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

While raising his family and fulfilling his career in chemical engineering, he has pursued functional ceramics for over three decades.

His artistic focus to date has been form development and glaze palette exploration, primarily working in wheel-thrown reduction-fired Cone 10 stoneware and porcelain. He’s particularly interested in lively and complex surfaces, using slips, stamps, alterations and alternative firing techniques.

He enjoys the more technical aspects of the ceramic craft and brings into his work his meticulous perspectives from chemistry and engineering. His pottery has been featured in several shows at the the Houston Museum of Fine Art’s Glassell School as well as the Art Students League in Denver, Colorado.
